2012
The 2012 South Australian Gambling Prevalence Study found that while overall gambling participation remained stable at 68.8% of adults, gambling behaviours were shifting towards increased sports betting, race betting and lottery participation. The study estimated that 0.6% of adults were experiencing problem gambling and 2.5% were at moderate risk, indicating that gambling harm continued to affect a significant minority of the population despite little change in overall participation.
